Up Movie Night:

Watching Up as a family. When he house going into a storm--Brielle clutched her box of Woppers and said, "my chocolate ok!" Brielle also snuck in the basement the following morning, to get another box of Woppers. I asked her what she had in her hands. She tucked it behind her back, shook her head and said, "I no no" then proceeded to walk backwards, box behind her back, until she thought the coast was clear and made a dash for the stairs. She later fell asleep clutching the box ripped in only the way a toddler can.

Hill Family Street of Fire

We attended the Hill family's Street of Fire this year (Lehi was gone at UFC convention that he got tickets to for Tyler's birthday). It was a lot of fun. They had, piñatas, a potluck BBQ, and Star War characters that visited for a bit. When it was getting dark, I ran across the street to put Maddie to bed and sat outside our house with Brielle and the monitor. Heather was kind enough to keep an eye on the boys while they sat with Thomas at the Hill's. The firework show was so well done!

Brielle while watching would say,"Peeeeeeew! with each explosion. She wore ear protection but took it off once and screamed to have it back on. She also asked, "I catch it??"and let her yellow sippy cup know, "Fire no get you yellow."

After a bit the boys came to watch/play in the driveway--They liked to yell, "Brace yourself!!" And then ninja fight the fireworks

Cranbery Farms 4th of July Party

We went to our neighborhood 4th of July Celebration, followed by playing with water beads, the water table, and kiddie pool in our backyard. Lehi went scuba diving with the bros, and later Alex and I escaped for Top Gun: Maverick (it was phenomenal!!) Pics from the party are below.

As a side note, Brielle has lately been saying "Gosh darn it" a lot. And it is my favorite.

Thomas Family Camping

The Izatt clan let us know they reserved a group camp site and invited everyone over to camp at Anderson Cove. Lehi went up with the boys for the night and I drove up with the girls the next morning. The campsite was a quick walk to the lake, which provided the entertainment for the day. Naturally, Terri had bingo and other games planned too. Maverick was all about bingo and even won a backpack he plans on using for the school year. Maddie loved playing in the sand and was so happy. David made an amazing gumbo dinner that I need to get the recipe for. The kids had a blast and it was a lot of simple fun.

Lehi & Tyler UFC Conference

(Mention above) Lehi got UFC convention tickets in Las Vegas for him and Tyler for Tyler's birthday. Lehi loved being able to see/meet the different fighters in person (ironically, Kevin Holland was really quiet/didn't want to be there, which is funny because he likes to trash talk/talk during his fights) and listening to the panels. Tyler also bumped into Chris Weidman in the bathroom on accident and said, "Oh sorry!" and then got a little star struck when we realized who it was.

4th of July

Maverick Baseball Wrap

Maverick grew a lot this season and is a great hitter. Machine pitch is where it is at! Ethan Glazier, Connor Hopkins, Carson Burr (broke arm halfway through the season), and Daniel Cosby were all on the same team, making games so fun to watch when you know so many kiddos to cheer on. Games were a little tricky with Maddie and Brielle, but we managed. ;) Brielle and Charles liked to pal around together a lot and we had to keep Maddie from playing with spit seeds. Brielle also liked to find ants around the garbage cans and could be found there often.
