January was a pretty quiet month. We must have been recovering from all the fun we had in December!
We went to the Doseum for Preston's birthday party (our first time going). I think the boys' favorite rooms were the ball room (no surprise there), the tile room, the playhouse, and the bubble area.
I suppose one kind big thing that happened...we got a puppy. His name is Goose. Maverick was elated. Lincoln wasn't sure what to think at first, but warmed up. Lehi brought him home when he was about 6 weeks old. The pup was nameless for a few days...we tossed around the idea of names like Thor...Maverick's list consisted of: Eagles, Carson Wentz, and Brody (from Power Rangers).
We also met some friends at a local campsite for a hot dog roast. The boys loved being outside with other kiddos and played their hearts out. Lincoln also became pro at sneaking cheese balls...he would check to see if anyone was looking (naturally, Lehi or myself always were without him knowing), climb up on the table, slowly open the lid, and reach his raccoon like paws into the container.

| He was probably picking a wedgie. |
The Westensee clan and ourselves headed to the last men's UTSA basketball game. I think the kids liked looking for the mascot "Rowdy" more than actually watching the game, but it was a great game! One of my students plays on the team, so it was fun to see his skills on the court.
And...for more random pictures from the month:
| My money is always on Lincoln for a fight between these two |
| Maverick took this picture of Lincoln...who happily posed for it |
| First flower Lincoln has picked for me...I am sure it is the first of many |
| This kid was a champ waiting in a long line at the DMV. I have never seen anyone so happy to be there. |
| Lincoln is extremely independent...including when it comes to getting dressed. This was his PJs. |
| Lehi and I got ourselves yoga mats...the boys got "sleeping bags" and tools for forts. |
| Maverick told me it was his lunchbox. |
| We have started to get rid of Lincoln's binks...we couldn't find them when we went to take them away. Randomly stumbled upon Lincoln's secret hiding spot.... |
| Baking soda + food coloring + vinegar. Entertained the boys forever. |
| When Maverick decides to eat grapefruit like mom (he LOVES it). |
| Our awesome ministering family dropped off a few "Come Follow Me" lesson kits--the boys came up with lots of great lessons about being the light of the world! |
| Lehi was being awesome and made dinner on a night I was just wiped out. He made German Pancakes. They looked a little different when he brought me my piece and the texture was different. I asked him how many eggs he put in and he said, "one." ....the recipe calls for 6. ;) |
| How cute is this pre-k class?? They dressed up as community workers! |
| I think Beamer loves this dog more than our boys! |
