 Stories

Quiet....Too Quiet

Lehi was working on homework and Maverick was playing with his toys like a good boy. Then everything became suspiciously quiet. Lehi took advantage of the quiet for a few minutes and then gt a little worried. He got up and looked for Maverick to find him in the bathroom, playing with the toilet brush.

Boys will be boys

Lehi said was in the bathroom one morning and made the mistake of leaving the door open. Maverick came wandering in and began to climb the toilet and put his hands in the water. He then paused and said, "I was peeing."

Jolly Green Giants

After Christmas, we went and visited the Hurless family in Utah. I was able to get my Sees indulgence and Lehi was able to catch up with some mission buddies. It was so nice being able to hang out with family and relax. Maverick and Dallin pretty much entertained each other.

Blue Clan Breakfast

On our way our of Utah, we were able to visit the Blue family--visiting meaning eat pumpkin pancakes, grab the Thomas grandparents and Bekah, and then leave. Even though it was a quick visit, it was great being able to chat with them, catch up, and fill our stomachs with Melissa's wonderful cooking. We headed back to Idaho with a car following behind, filled with family we missed so much.

Husdon's Blessing

Visiting with family was awesome and very much needed. We were able to go to Hudson's blessing on Sunday and spend time with family. Papi and Maverick became quick friends through sharing pineapple, cake, and other sweets. Rachel's house was constantly booming with excitement!

The blessing was beautiful. Husdon was a champ and looked adorable. During testimony meeting, Maverick was a little rambunctious so we spent a lot of time with him in the hall. Lehi would bring him in every once in awhile to pull on Papi and Gigi's hair--get a good laugh--and then head back out.

We had a potato bar feast afterwards with family. Then most of the extended family had to travel back to Utah, Nevada, and Bosie.

Grandma and Grandpa Thomas Say Goodbye

The time Papi and Gigi were in Idaho went by too fast. We went out to lunch at Reed's dairy and got grilled cheese sandwiches Bill raved about (they lived up to the expectation). Naturally, lunch included ice cream. We then headed back to Rachel's, Bill and Gina packed (Maverick was figuring out a way to climb into their suitcase), suitcases were packed full, weighed, and tears shed. Bill tried to play it off cool and said they better leave before Gina started crying...it was too late and then he started crying a bit. I am sure it was a huge change dropping off their baby girl for college, leaving grandbabies, and heading back to a new chapter of life--empty nesters. We sure miss then and are so happy we were able to spend time with them.
