8 Month Mile Stones

Pulls himself up on everything
"Cruising"
Loves having his nose suctioned out
Likes sweet potatoes and Gerber "puffs"
Loves dried mangos
Tried (and liked) an orange for the first time
Loves baths --especially with bath books which unfortunately
increases his splash radius
Blowing raspberries
Opening cupboards and drawers
Strange obsession with the dishwasher
Loves playing in his "fort" (under the table)
Kinda-not-really sleeping through the night

Stories

Fish out of water 

I was snacking on scrumptious, delightful, goldfish one afternoon. I thought my bowl was empty but behold, I noticed I had missed one. I scooped the precious last fish up and tossed it in my mouth....it was wet. Lehi started laughing at the dismay present on my face. He then told me, "I let Maverick lick all the salt off of that." And then he decided to put it back in my bowl.

Skype with Cousins 

We skyped with the Westensee clan. Brooklynn and Parker taught Maverick how to blow raspberries. I am pretty sure they spat at each other virtually for about a half hour.

Lehi has a chair he brought back home from Madagascar. It's pretty sweet. He decided it was about Maverick size so he set him in it. Maverick screamed and wouldn't put his feet down. He would leave them in in air until we took him out.

The Progression of Falling 

Maverick has learned the skill of pulling himself up. He has developed this skill so well, he tries to pull himself up on anything. One of my favorites is his toy-bin. I think the progression on pictures speaks for itself.
