2 Month Stories

NFL Draft Night

Maverick got an Eagles jersey before Lehi got his. But both the boys had it for the 2014 NFL draft. We and a few friends enjoyed the night at BWW where we watched the draft. Lehi and Maverick were rocking their McCoy jerseys! It was more like a dress for Maverick but he will grow into in eventually.

2 Month Check Up

In corner #1, measuring in at 24" and 11.3 oz is Maverick Thomas! (82% and 32%, respectfully)

Maverick took his shots like a champ. Two nurses jabbed his skinny little thighs with the needle at the same time. He shrieked and stuck is tiny clenched fist in the air triumphantly.

Bosie Trip

We drove with Rachel and Taylor down to Boise for McKenzie and Andrew's wedding. Maverick was pretty stinking good the ride there and back. We stopped a few times, but he handled the 6 hour trip like a seasoned road-tripper. It was a super fun weekend and well worth the drive. We visited with tons of family and were able to cuddle sweet baby Carma. On our way home we had the chance to stop by Lehi's Great Grandma's home and visit with her. Although it look us awhile to find the house (due to Grandpa Jensen's directions) but after a few clarifying phone calls and driving passed the house 3 times, we were able to find it! She was such a sweetheart and we were so grateful to the chance to chat with her. When we finally arrived in Idaho and hopped in our car to finish the drive into Rexburg we realized our car had a flat--stinking nail deflated the thing. After a tire swap at midnight, we finally made it home.

Birthday

Lehi took this great picture of Maverick for my birthday. He also included this message, "Happy Birthday to my wonderful wife and Beautiful mother to our awesome son. You are so amazing and do so much for me and Maverick. I would be a mess without you, literally. And Maverick wouldn't be here at all! So that makes you pretty important. And since it;s your birthday that makes you even more important. I love you and hope you have an awesome day (even if you are still feeling crappy). And here's a picture of Mav (he loves you too :) )"

Lots of phone calls from family,a cute "happy birthday" song from Brooklyn, money to get a massage from Gina and Bill, insurance renewal and tags for my car from the parents, and a lovely man-voice made my birthday very eventful. I had just gotten over a nasty flu-bug when the never-ending cold caught me off guard. A text from Kristina compassionately described it well, "ha-cough-hack-hack-ppy-birth-sneeze-day-cough-sniff! (Speaking your language)." Lehi got me plane tickets to WA to visit my parents and the sisters. I am SO excited. :)
